Born in Salvatierra Gto. and raised in Querétaro Qro. Alex moved to the United States at an early age. Being under age and illegal in the country, Alex had to find a job that didn’t require many formalities which lead him to become a dishwasher and ending up in the culinary industry out of necessities, working his way up from the dish pit, to executive chef.

With an experience of 20 years and versatility in cooking techniques that he acquired from different cuisines like Italian, French, Japanese, Vietnamese, German, Greek, Contemporary American, Mexican and Baking

Alex “Pobre Diablo” Garcia started Evil Cooks as a distress valve from his job as a chef drawing sketches to put them in shirts that were dedicated to cooks in the industry. After many years of cooking, people had the chance to fall in love with his cooking style that they started asking for caterings and private dinners and that’s when he decided to quit his job and his professional career to become a pirate in the streets of Los Angeles and that’s when he crossed paths with his partner in business and partner in life Elvia “La Bruja” Garcia. Together, they navigated the seas of the industry and started working their way up to stand bright in the very competitive food industry in the city of Angels.

Worked in some restaurants and universities around Los Angeles and has accumulated over 17 years of experience creating and cooking for dozens of customers to satisfy their hunger.

Her cooking background has some extensive cuisines like Italian, French, Contemporary American, Mexican and Baking
